2024 Life Time Leadville Trail 100 MTB Lottery

EVENT LOTTERY SELECTION RULES

Athletes will have the opportunity to be entered into the 2024 lottery from December 1st, 2023, at 10 a.m. MST until December 15th, 2023, at 11:59 p.m. MST.
Registration for entry selection will be free of charge, but credit card information will be collected when you submit your entry and only charged if accepted into the race or if you choose to make a donation. A donation will not increase your chance of selection.
All athletes will be notified on January 8, 2024. Subject to eligibility requirements, the individuals whose names are drawn will be awarded entry into the 2024 LT100 MTB. Selected participants will be notified by the email entered during the registration process and the participant’s credit card will automatically be charged the registration fee, plus a processing fee and any add-ons selected.
All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable and subject to all other terms, conditions and restrictions of the Leadville Race Series.
Group Registration Details: The group registration option is recommended for family, friends, and other small groups (up to 4 members) that ONLY want to race if they can do so together. The first athlete registering will be required to create a group name. It is essential for the remaining members sign up for the group with the group name matching exactly. For example, if your group name is “LeadvilleBigBuckles” the group name “Leadville Big Buckles” will not work. When the drawing selection takes place, the GROUP NAME will be the name entered in the drawing. If the group name is selected, every member of the group will be accepted and automatically charged the registration fee + applicable processing fees.
Only one application per person. You cannot apply as an individual and as a member of a group. Any registration fees processed due to an individual submitting multiple applications are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Athletes with existing entry to the 2024 event are NOT allowed to enter the 2024 lottery. Any registration fees processed due to an individual submitting multiple applications are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Any merchandise purchases made at registration will only be charged if the athlete is selected in the lottery.
Any donations to a foundation made at registration will be charged during registration.
If an athlete wishes to withdraw their name from the lottery, they must email the support team no later than 10 AM MT on 12/16/23.
If an athlete is drawn in the lottery and their credit card is declined, they will have until 1/13/24 to update their payment information or their spot will be forfeited.
The entire selection and registration process shall be at the sole discretion of Life Time, whose decisions and interpretations shall be final and binding. Life Time reserves the right to cancel, terminate or suspend the selection process or the event for any reason. Life Time reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it reasonably suspects or believes to be tampering with the entry process or to be acting in violation of these rules. Life Time shall not be responsible for incomplete entries or those that are not received by Life Time by the applicable deadline for any reason.

TEAM/GROUP LOTTERY REGISTRATION

Group Registration Details: The group registration option is recommended for family, friends and other small groups (up to 4 members) that ONLY want to race if they can do so together.

The first athlete registering will be required to create a group name and register for the lottery.

The other members of the group will select “join existing team” during registration and enter the team name that the first athlete entered.

It is essential for the remaining members to sign up for the group with the group name matching exactly. For example, if your group name is “LeadvilleBigBuckles” the group name “Leadville Big Buckles” will not work. When the drawing selection takes place, the GROUP NAME will be the name entered in the drawing. If the group name is selected, every member of the group will be accepted and automatically charged the registration fee and applicable processing fees.

Please note that if a member of your group has an existing preference into the lottery through volunteer hours or multi-time finishes, they will be forfeiting their preference in the lottery.

LEADVILLE RACE SERIES QUALIFIERS

If you are unsuccessful in the lottery process and still wish to participate in the Life Time Leadville Trail 100 MTB, you have the option to race one of our qualifier events to earn a spot in the race. Each Leadville Race Series qualifier provides slots to the LT100 MTB, based on the total number of registered riders at each qualifier event. Half of the qualifying spots will be allocated based on the top age-group performances and half will be drawn in a lottery among riders who have finished the qualifier race within the allocated cutoff time. The number of slots is up to the discretion of the Leadville Race Series Team.

2024 Qualifier events include:

**Wilmington Whiteface and Barn Burner MTB events will not be part of the Leadville Race Series in 2024 or beyond.**

Qualification events will be allocated 25-50 slots, based on the number of registered riders.
50% of slots will be distributed based on performance in the qualifying event.

a. Slots will be distributed to each gender and age group (20-29, 30-39, etc.) based on the percentage of total athletes in those age groups, with a minimum of 1 slot for every age group.

b. The top athletes in each age group will receive the allocated slots.

c. In the event a top athlete elects not to accept a slot, the slot will roll down to the next athlete in the results, within the age group.

d. In the event slots are not claimed after the roll down in each age group, those slots will be allocated to the Event Lottery, as described below.

e. One slot will be allocated for the top single speed rider.

f. Slots will be allocated to the top tandem team.

50% of slots will be distributed through the Event Lottery.

a. All finishers under the pre-determined maximum finish time, who have indicated their desire to participate in the lottery, will be entered in the lottery.

b. Names will be drawn from the eligible lottery athletes and slots will be given out.

c. In the event an athlete opts not to accept a slot, the slots will roll down to the next athlete that is drawn, until ALL slots have been distributed.

4. Qualification slots must be claimed in person immediately.

5. Registration for the Leadville Trail 100 must be completed and paid for immediately.

6. For the 2024 Qualifiers, riders may elect to race in the Leadville Trail 100 for 2024 or defer until 2025. Registration will happen onsite for either year and payment will be assessed for 2024 or 2025. Through the registration process, riders will be asked to select the year they prefer to race.

7. Only solo riders will be eligible for the LT100 MTB drawing. Relay participants and tandem riders are excluded.

8. All registration fees for the LT100 MTB are non-transferrable and non-refundable.

LT100 MTB TRAINING CAMP + ENTRY

Led by the best of the best, the Life Time Leadville Trail 100 MTB Camp could be your entry into the LT100 MTB. Don’t wait around to see if you have luck in the lottery – secure a guaranteed spot in the LT100 MTB by registering for one of the LT100 MTB Training Camp spots with entry. As a camp participant, you will ride every mile of the LT100 MTB course while paying special attention to the most grueling sections to help get you ready for the August race or just to experience the challenging LT100 MTB course spread over three days.

Registration for LT100 MTB Camp + Entry opens on 12/1/23 and is available on a first-come, first-served basis until the event is sold out.

Volunteer for any Leadville Race Series event (in Leadville) for 10 hours** or more or have someone volunteer on your behalf, and you can bypass the lottery in the next year!

REGISTER for the lottery between Dec 1 – Dec 15, 2023.
When registering for the lottery, answer all questions regarding your volunteer hours

This gives you the option to add in donated hours both that you are donating and that have been donated to you.
This will allow us to track and verify all donated hours.

LIFE TIME MEMBER GUARANTEED REGISTRATION

Life Time members who have held a digital or in-club membership for at least 6 months prior to the lottery (6/1/23) are eligible for guaranteed entry into the LT100 MTB & LT100 Run events! Members can begin registering on 11/24/2023 and the deadline to claim entry for Life Time members is 11/30/23.
