Media Information
All attending media are required to fill out the 2024 Media Credential Application.
All media will be required to attend an onsite media briefing. Media will receive:
- Media Course Map
- Media Booklet
- Media Credential
Information about the event, course, and media best practices will also be provided at this time. You must be present in order to receive a media credential.
Drone + Commercial Film and Photography Applications:
If you also need a drone permit or a commercial film/photography permit, the Leadville Race Series will submit all film packets to the U.S. Forest Service. Please fill out the appropriate paperwork below and submit your application to Amanda Kussin (akussin@lt.life) by the deadlines provided.

Media Briefing Details:
All media will be required to attend the media briefing at 12:00 PM on Friday, August 9th, at 213 Harrison Ave.
Commercial Film and Photography Applications:
If you are in need of a commercial film/photography application on top of the media credential, the Leadville Race Series will submit all film packets to the U.S. Forest Service. Please fill out the appropriate paperwork below and submit your application to Amanda Kussin (akussin@lt.life) by July 10th, 2024.
Do I need a commercial film/photography permit?
- Do not need a permit: If you are filming your athlete race the event for a personal Youtube channel or content creation, you do not need a permit.
- Do need a permit: If you are flying a drone, or if you are part of a hired crew and backed by a company.
Complete film packet includes the following:
- Signed SF299 application
- PSICC Supplemental Film Application
- Map with planned filming locations, or descriptions where filming will occur on Forest Service
- Certificate of good standing (or equivalent) in state where business holding the permit is registered

Certificate of Insurance (Acord 25 form). Please make the Certificate Holder: US Government, Leadville Ranger District, San Isabel National Forest, 810 Front Street, Leadville, CO 80461.
