Deferral Information

Although we look forward to seeing you at our events, we understand certain things may come up that prevent you from attending. Check out our deferral policies for each event and please let us know if you have any questions!

Deferral registration for 2026 Leadville Race Series events is open November 1-15, 2025.

Defer your entry according to deadlines for each event. See associated event for timelines.
A race entry can only be deferred one time and only to the following year’s event.
All fees are non-refundable and registrations are not transferable.
If you defer an event, you will receive an email approximately one week before our deferral period of Nov. 1 – 15.
You will receive a second email on Nov. 1 with a code and link to register.
If you do NOT receive these emails, please check your spam/junk folder and search ‘Leadville Race Series’.
If you do NOT receive these emails – you are responsible to email us within the annual deferral period of Nov. 1 – 15.
If we do not receive an email during this time, we will not be able to honor your deferral at a later date, due to permit numbers.

To defer or withdraw your entry for any of the Leadville Race Series events, Email our Athlete Services Manager at leadville@ltevents.zendesk.com with your name and the event from which you are deferring/withdrawing.

LEADVILLE TRAIL 100 MTB & LEADVILLE TRAIL 100 RUN

Defer your entry to receive a guaranteed spot in the following year’s race. Entry fees will not be refunded. A new registration must be completed during the deferral registration period for the following year’s race; entry fees apply.

Deferral entry fees:

LT100 MTB | 100% repay of following year’s race entry fee
LT100 Run | 100% repay of following year’s race entry fee

Deferral deadlines:

LT100 MTB | 8/13/2026 at 1:00 PM MST (start of expo)
LT100 Run | 8/21/2026 at 11:00 AM MST (start of expo)

Please note:

Deferrals are only valid for the following year in the same event, space permitting.
Active duty and military personnel deployed or recalled may be refunded or deferred at no cost with proof of orders.
Pregnant and Postpartum mothers may be refunded or deferred at no cost with an authorized medical note.
No refunds or changes permitted on transactions over 365 days.
No refunds on add-on items, merchandise or donations; all purchases are final.

Life Time reserves the right, in its sole and complete discretion, to deny entry, to revoke the entry application of any applicant at any time, and/or to disqualify any individual from the Event. Those who violate our registration/racing policy may be disqualified and potentially banned from participating in this and/or any other Life Time Event.

LEADVILLE MTB STAGE RACE

Deferral entry fees:

Leadville MTB Stage Race | 100% repay of following year’s race entry fee

Deferral deadlines:

Leadville MTB Stage Race | 7/23/2026 at 5:00 PM MST (start of packet pickup)

Pregnant and Postpartum mothers may be refunded or deferred at no cost with an authorized medical note.

LEADVILLE TRAIL 100 RUN CAMP & MTB CAMP

Deferral entry fees:

Camp Only | 50% repay of following year’s camp entry fee
Camp + LT100 Entry | 50% repay of following year’s camp entry fee, 100% repay of following year’s race entry fee

Deferral deadlines:

LT100 MTB Camp | 6/11/2026 at 11:00 AM MST (start of camp)
LT100 Run Camp | 6/19/2026 at 3:30 PM MST (start of camp)

LEAD CHALLENGE

Defer your entry to receive a guaranteed spot in the following year’s series. Entry fees will not be refunded. A new registration must be completed during the deferral registration period for the following year’s series; entry fees apply.

Deferral deadlines:

Lead Challenge | 6/26/2026 at 1:00 PM MST (start of Marathon expo)

IF THE LEADVILLE RACE SERIES CANCELS THE EVENT

If we have to cancel due to a series of reasons, including pandemic, natural disaster, etc.

Athlete Option 1: Deferral

Complimentary, guaranteed entry into the following year’s event
- Must register their deferral through the following year’s registration window.
  - If registration fills or closes before an athlete uses their deferral- they will have to enter the event waiting list.

Athlete Option 2: Refund

90+ days out – 70% refund
60-89 days out – 50% refund
30-59 days out – 40% refund

*No refunds on service fees, merchandise or donations. No refunds over 365 days since registering. Deferrals are only good for the following year, in the same event. *Life Time and the Leadville Race Series has the sole discretion to change the canceled event options at any time.
