Celebrating 6 Years of Quinn Cooper!

Quinn Cooper, our amazing Athlete Services Manager, aka the gal that pours her entire heart into this event to make sure our athletes get the care they deserve, just celebrated her 6 year anniversary with the Leadville Race Series!

She’s brought a lot of fun and passion to our events, and since she knows our events and athletes inside out, we figured you should know a little bit about her

Woah! 6 years has flown by. I started with Life Time Athletic Events in April 2015 working as the Athlete Service Manager for the Esprit de She events. Esprit de She was a really fun, energetic series for (predominantly) women athletes that included 5K & 10K Runs, Triathlon and Duathlon events all around the states. I worked 2 event seasons with Esprit de She before getting the opportunity to transition into my dream Athlete Service Manager role with the Leadville Race Series in October 2016.

So, what is an Athlete Service Manager? Well, my position fluxuates and encompasses a lot of event preparation and organization; from managing data and solutions, setting up registrations, working with brand managers and event managers on designs, ordering and helping to manage race bibs/ bike plates, timing chips, help event weekend schedules, coordinate and communicate with athletes and team members, assigning race numbers and corrals, and so much more! I love it! Paying attention to details, staying organized and communicating are what keeps me successful in my job!

From a pretty young age, I knew my passion for endurance and the outdoors would lead me to where I am today! I’ve been a runner and outdoorsy kid my entire life! When I was (roughly) 8 years old I ran my first 5K in my hometown, Alamosa, CO. It was a scorching -15 ° at the start with wind-chill adding additional bone chilling, grit and determination to start and finish the race because my dad decided he wasn’t going to race that day- so by golly, I was. I’ve run competitively since I can remember, and in college I decided to start pushing my miles and limits into ultra-distances.

I can’t wait to see all of you again this summer!

When you see Quinn on race day, be sure to say hey and give her a BIG air five!
