The Leadville Trail Marathon will mark its 15th year in 2014. Run through the historic mining district's challenging old mining roads and trails, and hit a high of 13,185 feet at Mosquito Pass. The views will leave you breathless, if you're not already.
The race course is out and back through the historic mining district on the east side of Leadville. Race start will be at 8 a.m. in front of the Sixth Street Gym. The course is primarily on old mining roads and trails, topping out at 13,185 ft. at Mosquito Pass. You may be crossing snow on the course. The courses will be well marked with fluorescent pink-and-black-striped ribbon and chalk arrows.

Qualifications: Entrants under 18 years must deliver a signed Parental Release & Waiver to race.

Leadville Policy Agreement: Please understand that the Leadville Race Series does not allow refunds or transfers for all race entries and registration fees.
If you wish to defer your entry to the 2015 Leadville race season please understand that your entry will roll over only 1 year, however the registration fee will not. If you choose to defer your entry you must re-pay the event registration fee.

There is an 8.5-hour total time limit for the marathon, and aid station cut-offs will occur at 1:45 p.m. at Resurrection inbound (16.4m) and 2:45 p.m. at Venir #3 (19.1m).
Race number and packet pickup are on Friday at Race Headquarters, 316 Harrison Avenue, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on race day at Race Headquarters from 6 a.m. to 7:15 a.m.
There will be 7 well-supplied aid stations for the marathon.
All finishers receive a finishers medal. The awards ceremony will take place at the 6th Street Gym at 5 p.m. Include staying for the awards in your race day plans. Age group awards are also awarded at this time.
If you do not attend the award ceremony to receive your award you must send a check made out to the Leadville Race Series for $15 with the name, bib #, finish time and mailing address to:

There will be trash and recycling containers at all full aid stations and the start/finish line. Please discard any trash in an appropriate container or within 100 yards of the aid station. Intentional littering on the course will be grounds for disqualification. The course – on trails both public and private – travels past many historic sites and through areas of exceptional beauty. Help us keep them pristine.
We will be recycling all plastic, aluminum and cardboard during these races, and all our events. We’ll take care of this at the aid stations. At the start/finish, please ensure you place trash or recyclable materials in the appropriate containers, which will be well marked.
